About First Light Video

Established in 1993 in Camden Town, London, FLV was an early adopter of digital video technology and mainly served the art and community sectors, introducing affordable non-linear editing to clients who were usually priced out of the mainstream digital facilities.

We have stayed small and delivered big. In nearly twenty years we have provided a consistent high standard of work ranging from broadcast to web design to interactive training. Our creativity is partnered by a geeky obsession with the rapid development of technology in our industry, and we'd like to maintain our reputation as a helpful and inventive team to have on your side.

We have the basic tools on-hand to shoot and edit HD video and deliver it any way you like. We have experience in the whole range of corporate video productions such as product launches, interviews, testimonials, training videos, presentations, award ceremonies, speeches, vox pops and others.

We have provided compliance and re-versioning services to major broadcasters, we have edited feature and short films, documentaries, video art, promos and adverts for cinema and TV. We've made numerous title sequences, produced 2D and 3D animations, interactive CDs/DVDs and websites. We have even written software and designed hardware for artists and their installations.

So in other words, we like to be challenged and we like learning new tricks.

Location

Hipsters hanging in Hoxton Square
Hoxton Square is situated on the border between the City of London and the East End, the area recently dubbed 'Silicon Roundabout'. Easily accessible by bus and tube, the area has overtaken Soho with the sheer number of creative companies in the vicinity combined with a rich and vibrant night life. A huge variety of restaurants, bars, clubs and pubs cater for the evening crowd and there are plenty of lunchtime choices to keep a hungry producer happy. Excellent Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, Greek, Moroccan and vegetarian restaurants are within five minutes walk from our office.

43-44 Hoxton Square is a creative community in it's own right. Situated around a pleasant courtyard are top recording studio Miloco, design agencies, publishers LeBook and VCL Video. We hope you enjoy working here as much as we do. If you intend to bring a car contact us first because the parking is scarce and expensive and the traffic wardens are numerous, but we know the best spots.
